(2006 - 2016)
I spent my formative years at Garden International School (GIS) in Kuala Lumpur, attending from Year 1 through Year 10. During my time there, I actively participated in co-curricular life — joining the football and rugby teams, competing in duathlons, and engaging in academic challenges like the Physics Olympiad. I also completed the Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award, which fostered early skills in leadership, resilience, and teamwork. GIS played a key role in shaping my international outlook and interest in both academic and personal development from a young age.
(2016 - 2019)
I completed the International Baccalaureate (IB) at the International School of Breda, studying MYP5 and the full Diploma Programme. My subjects included English, Dutch, and Economics at Standard Level, and Physics, Chemistry, and Math at Higher Level — a combination that strengthened both my analytical and scientific thinking. Through the CAS program, I took on challenges beyond academics, including running a marathon in Castricum aan Zee and leading small community projects. This international and well-rounded education laid the foundation for my global perspective and entrepreneurial mindset.
(2020 - Present)
I’m currently pursuing my degree in Economics at Tilburg University, a program that has sharpened my analytical thinking and deepened my understanding of how global markets, policy, and people interact. Studying at an internationally recognized institution has allowed me to connect theory with real-world applications — from macroeconomic models to entrepreneurship. It’s not just a place where I study; it’s a space where I’ve challenged ideas, tested business concepts, and shaped the way I think about impact and value creation on a global scale.
During my time at university, I’ve intentionally focused on applying what I learn in class — economics, entrepreneurship, and market design — to real-world situations. One of the most valuable experiences in this regard was leading ESN Breda as President during the 2022–2023 academic year. This role wasn’t just about organizing student events; it involved managing a full team, securing sponsorships, budgeting, and building long-term partnerships — all skills deeply tied to economic coordination and leadership under resource constraints. Following my tenure as president, I made the decision to remain in the Council of Advice to pass on my knowledge to the upcoming board members. A year later, I made the decision to act as the auditor of the organisation - within the Supervisory Board.
One of the projects I’m most proud of is Dutch Student Guide NL, a platform I created to support international students navigating life in the Netherlands. The idea came during my time as President of ESN Breda, where I saw firsthand how many students struggled with finding reliable, localized information about everything from housing to healthcare to social integration. I built the website to centralize that knowledge in a clear, friendly, and useful way — covering both practical tips and cultural insights. Since its launch, the platform has grown to include multiple information categories, partnerships with student organizations, and a growing community on social media. It’s not just a guide — it’s a way to give back to the international student community that shaped my own journey.
